ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Petulant was created when I looked into the center of an Amaryllis flower. I started with a petal and then the painting took over and told me what to do. The colours are very feminine and this works appeals to women. I used oils as they blend so much better and as it was a large surface, needed to be open to working on for a while. One never knows what will happen when you start on an abstract so I hope that I stopped in time with this one. Petulant is on a gallery stretched canvas and ready to hang. It can also be rolled for shipping. I believe that you should involve your viewer and I hope that this is the case in this painting.
