Dozens of insects began to flock to the smell of oil and run, jump around the sketch. When the artist noticed this, there were already dozens of trodden paths and small footprints at work. Traces of insects made the picture even more interesting and fun. The picture is dominated by pink, lilac. purple and blue tones. Pastose painting, very textured.

The code of painting. The code of painting is the name of the personal exhibition of impressionist Denis Kozlovsky, opened in the large exhibition hall of the Tambov Art Gallery. The exhibition features about 100 works of the author in different genres. The title of the exhibition is symbolic. It contains the most important aspects of the artist's creative search, built on the symbols and associations. Denis Kozlovskiy puts a special meaning into his paintings, "a code of painting" and looks for harmony in the world around him. Denis's paintings are pastose. It is as if he "sculpts" his canvases, mixes paints and applies them with broad brushes, mastikin and even with his hands. The artist is not interested in form, perspective, to the extent that color is important to him. Color sets the rhythm, movement and emotional accompaniment of the work, forms the expressiveness of the artistic image. Denis travels a lot in the company of people close in spirit - this is a huge impetus for his creative growth. Most of his works are the works brought from plein airs. The exhibition presents canvases painted at the plein air "Places of power" in the Tambov region in 2016. This plein air is special in the life of the artist, as Denis was both the author and curator of this project. Having won a grant in 2015 at the All-Russian Youth Forum "Tavrida" Denis was able to fulfill a long-standing dream to gather his friends and like-minded people in the Tambov land. There are interesting works from creative trips to Lipetsk (Interregional youth plein air "Horizons", 2014); to Mstislavl (International plein air "Semigorje", 2017-2018); to Gagra (Abkhaz plein air, 2018); to Kursk (International plein air "Kursk - Nightingale capital", 2018); to Kargopol (All-Russian plein air "White nights of Kargopol", 2019) and others. At the exhibition many works written during the creative expedition in 2017 in the North Caucasus. The works are in the Tambov Regional Art Gallery, private collections in Russia and Europe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3tQkGx4qx0
