Inspiration: This piece was inspired by the delicate yet resilient nature of poppies. I have always been fascinated by how these flowers symbolize both beauty and transience. The vibrant red hues of poppies against a more subdued background create a striking contrast that reflects the fleeting moments of beauty in life. Viewer's Experience: I hope that viewers will feel a sense of calm and contemplation when looking at "Маки." The gentle flow of the paint and the organic shapes of the poppies are intended to evoke thoughts of nature’s simplicity and the beauty found in everyday moments. I want viewers to reflect on the ephemeral nature of life and find peace in the present moment. Medium, Subject Matter, and Style: I chose watercolors as the medium for this artwork because of their fluidity and transparency, which perfectly capture the delicate essence of poppies. The subject matter of flowers is a recurring theme in my work, symbolizing both the fragility and strength of nature. The style is intentionally abstract to allow for personal interpretation and emotional connection.
