ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Porsche 356 was the first ever mass produced vehicle from the legendary German car company. Originally assembled in Austria in Gmund, the orginal cars had alluminium body and engine derived from the legendary VW Beatle which has been also constructed by Ferdinand Porsche - the founder of the company. The production of this elegant sport coupe (later in cabriolet and speedster body styles) ran from 1948 until 1964 when the legendary 911 has been introduced. The fame of this car has been established in 1951 when it has won its class at Le Mans race in France. Today there remain only about half of these sport cars and they have become highly sought after investment. This realistic oil painting, done with using old masters painting techniques, pays a tribute to this gorgeous vehicle.
