ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This line was inspired by the Olmeca's stone work. I wondered about the beginning of things, and the fine line between simplicity, complexity and playfulness. This line had 4 original paintings on it and it began in 2017. I spent a lot of time 'arguing" painting and repainting. I spent most of the time irritated with my failures, but hope that in the end, the painting provides calm and respite from the madness of the world.
