Priya was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2011, but she choose her own path with her health. She healed herself with natural & alternative approaches. A double mastectomy & a year later breast reconstruction, her journey for self care continues. Her positive inner relationship drives her self care to new levels.

My current paintings are an exploration of self-perception and interconnection. With our years of pandemic experience, the majority of our interactions moved online, we are now relying on our phones and devices more than ever. My latest work is an exploration of our virtual self and our relationship with our devices as the source of virtual connection with others. All surfaces used in this series are discarded broken iPhone screens and iPad screens. These once cherished 'windows to the world,' will permanently display an image of eyes, the 'windows to the soul'.
