“My paintings are in a modern impressionistic style which I call “Luminochromatic Impressionism”. They depict the intensity of nature which surrounds us. Applying techniques learned from the masters I have developed a unique approach which draws the viewer in to the landscape – experiencing not only what is seen, but also the feelings it generates. I create predominantly large scale pictures, using colour to capture the contrasts between light and shadow.” Natasha Hawes was born in the South of Russia and grew up in Moscow. She studied international business and worked in retail, recruitment and manufacturing companies. She has always drawn and painted and was first exhibited internationally at the age of 11. In 2011 Natasha moved to England. Inspired by the Suffolk countryside she took up painting professionally. Since 2015 she has lived in the Cahors wine area in southern France, surrounded by vineyards, farmland and woods. Her work is in private collections in France, United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Switzerland, Holland, Germany, Ireland, Russia, Belgium, Portugal, Canada, etc. She meet her collectors and sell her work through her Gallery in the heart of Bordeaux vine growing area, in Saint-Emilion and online at .
