This emotional nude painting is a part of Liat's last solo show - ROSE WATER. In ROSE WATER, artist Liat Greenberg presents a selection of artworks that portray her journey of emotional introspection. Characterised by her desire to capture the sensuality of the natural world, the still-lifes, nudes, and portraits demonstrate her poetic perception of people and objects in a strongly dynamic yet vulnerable expression of colour and shape. Escaping the proper form through blurred exaggerations of watercolors and expressive strokes of acrylic and oil pastels, Liat’s paintings convey a quick glance, a memory or sheer impression of beauty detached from idealised appearances. Looking at her works inspires looking for one’s own truth.

Born in 1990, Liat Greenberg is a fashion designer and artist based in Stockholm. Early on she practiced realistic forms of painting which further manifested through her occupation as a designer. After moving to Sweden in 2017, Liat began to challenge the accurate representation of the body and her works became gradually abstract. Enhanced by her favorite medium - watercolours - she finds herself in a practice dominated by spontaneity and unpredictability. Her artistic process becomes an almost meditative practice guided by her reflection of being self among others.
