Red Walk Painting

Red Walk became part of my Counter Stance exhibition in 2015. This painting was inspired by how the body is objectified in modern society and how we place importance on the superficial outwood representation rather than what is actually inside. Red Walk shows how we can feel free but also how we put protective layers around ourselves especially in harsh enviornments. I hope that people stop and think about how they are representing themselves, but also to embrase those feelings and show them to the world. I wanted to delve into what is important to our modern society and fight against it in a small way. I hope that we can improve ourselves and go deeper as a society no matter where we are from.
