ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Original Chinese Brush Painting by Ilana Shechter. This artwork is a spontaneous style of Chinese Ink Painting. One of the most beloved flowers in China, the plum blossom (méi-huā, 梅花) has been frequently depicted in Chinese paintings for centuries. Plum blossoms are both a symbol of winter and a harbinger of spring. Plum flowers are seen as an example of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. In this drawing, we see the clean, graphic lines of the brunches. The delicate shades of pink in the flower petals complimented them. The painting has two red traditional Chinese seals; one of them means "Happy," and the other is a seal that means "Love." This painting was hand-painted using traditional Chinese tools and materials: Chinese black ink and Chinese mineral paints on special rice Xuan paper. Size: 69 х 34.5 cm, 27.2 x 13.6 inches (unframed). This artwork is sold unframed. Recommended hanging on the wall in a white or black frame with passe-partout. The colors of the original art may slightly vary from the display on computer monitors/mobile screens due to different screen resolutions or settings. The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The painting will be shipped to you professionally packed in a tube with highly protective packaging material. Thanks for looking!
