About The Artwork
This work was painted for an exhibition that I participated in at the Edward Hopper House in 2011. The event "Hopper Re-Imagined" sponsored by the Whitney Museum was a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the preservation of Edward Hopper's childhood home in Nyack, NY. Participating artists were challenged to create an original work based on a Hopper original. I chose Hopper's iconic work "Nighthawks" as the basis for my painting.
