I started my Art studies at the Museo de Bellas Artes in Santiago, Chile, in 1976. Graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago in 1985. I had various teachers and influences such as the Renascent Masters, Chuck Close, Richard Estes, Miguel Venegas Cifuentes in his early years (teacher of Claudio Bravo), to later on influenced by Claudio Bravo's works among others. This was my inspiration to developing my own methods for realism in oil painting and acrylic. After working as an Illustrator and Art Director in Chile, I earned awards in art competitions to then moving to New York City in 1990 where I became assistant of artists Harry Mc Cormick, Jorge Tacla, Shalom Newman and at Juan Downey Estate Studio. Parallel to this work, from which I participated in several group and solo exhibitions in cities of United States as well as North, Central and South America. I was awarded the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant and recently awarded First Prize, a Solo Show and Representation, at an International Competition of Dacia Gallery in New York City in 2014. I presently lives and works in New York City, working on several projects of Art.
