It was in one of local parks. At night I climbed over a fence and cut down few branches with flowers. The tree had a lot of them and I needed a specific angle of light for them, so I made it in my roof top studio. I set it up right above my had, so I the background was the sky.

Growing up, our home was always filled with paintings. Trees and plants have always been some of my favorite subjects to draw, though I didn't start drawing figures until college. My style leans toward the whimsical. With my traditional training, I learned how to take an idea that interests me and develop it from the initial sketch to choosing the right medium. After graduating, my family and I moved to Portland, Oregon, in 2014, where I’ve been inspired by the area's natural beauty. Recently, I attended local festivals, where I encountered people who reminded me of Renaissance musicians, which became the focus of several of my recent projects.
