This painting was made while I lived in Chicago. It was creating using a technique which I first creating a sketch utilizing collage cut outside from magazines to create my composition and color palette, then utilized the same themes into an oil painting. 

Conceptually it about the chaos and movement I felt in the center of the city, with the bold black lines creating an element of travel for the viewer as well. The vivid primary colors express my sense of energy and electricity pulsing through the heart of the city from the subways to the skyscrapers.
