Road to Haleakala Painting

Andrea Rumpel is a self-taught Artist residing in the Northwest. She studies and incorporates painting methods used by her inspirations, classical artists such as Sargent, Vermeer and George Inness. She began drawing from a young age. Fascinated by the vivid and ethereal illustrators of a different generation. In her teens she began figure drawing studies, using her parent's art books as reference. Her other passions include Environmentalism, Spirituality and Herbalism and in 2012 studied Herbalism at the American College of Healthcare Sciences, Portland, OR. It is her wish to incorporate all of these modalities with her desire to create beauty to help uplift herself, her community, the environment and the world at large. She continues to self-educate herself in her craft through keen observation and study of other artist's work.
