About The Artwork
Rogers Centre, July 20, 2014 is part of my Baseball Stadium Series. Each painting commemorates the occasion of attending games at various MLB ballparks. This series connects to me to my maternal grandfather who played in the Montreal Independent Baseball League at Haymarket Square in Griffintown (Montreal) in the 1920s. He passed on his love of baseball to me as we attended many Expos games together. Over the years, I have continued to travel to other ballparks to experience watching games in other cities.
