I have been interested in bones and structures that make up plants and rocks and animals since I was little. Tiny earthen things that you have to dig up to see! Lifes living is fascinating to me and this is my own creation. I have been investigating this type of expression, meaning the use of layered and heavy texture oil paint along with the glassy transparent look and feel of resin for five or six years. All of the paintings I do are developed through my own evolution and are totally my own. This painting is both rich n color and texture and transparent and glassy giving it a unique modern spin.

I have grown up in Atlanta where I live now. There seems to be not just a few artist exsintrics in my family and I tend to be that unconventional type myself. I attended scad in the 80s and have a BFA. I have been selling art work sense but really cranked up my game about 15 years ago. I paint or create everyday, it's my life! Being as prolific as I am I enjoy several styles, inpiticularly abstract landscape, large abstract color fields and the heavily textured pieces posted. Though the styles are different they have a drawn from nature aspect and color theme I don't seem to be able to shake. I have sold from many galleries in Atlanta and always sign my name Thomasa Seymour which is the name I go by. I will be posting throughout the year! Thank you so much for your interest!
