Roy Campenella Painting

Next to Jim Robinson's portrait is the Dodger great Roy Campenella. I painted Campenella while referencing a photo and painting my reflections with oil paint on canvas. He also played in the "Negro Leagues" before Jim. Roy helped Jim in his career in baseball and was kind of like a mentor. Jim talked to me about his friendship with Roy Campenella, who he would visit in Harlem. It seems appropriate to place the portraits together.
