ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I am a seascape artist (since early childhood), and I like to paint the ships which used to serve our islands over the years. I love the sea, and try to capture it in all its moods, shades and colours, as the waves constantly scintillate in reflection of whatever light is at work upon them. One day I will get it right! I've always liked the pliability of oil paint, as opposed to water-based media, so all my artwork is in this medium. I like to try to capture the movement of ships as they plunge, roll, rise and fall in the sea through which they travel.
