Painting is featured in the 1st Issue of Art IDEAL magazine 2020 Dec This Painting is one of my personal favourites; it belongs to the collection called ‘Yellow Sky’ I adore the sky, even on what to most, seems like a dark and gloomy day. This collection is my interpretation of the mood and striking colour found in atmospheric weather. This piece is inspired by the powerful appearance of the sun. The painting comprises a combination of yellows, greys and layers of different tones and abstract shapes. It’s a one off piece. This work has been produced using high quality Sennelier oil pastels on a canvas panel. Comes professionally framed in chalk white frame. I am a contemporary artist residing and practicing on the Wirral peninsula where all my artwork is created in my garden studio. I graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Siaulai University, Lithuania and then completed an MA in Creative Practice while resident in the UK. I have an immense passion for unique and original art and strive to reflect this in all the works that I produce. I divide my artistic passion between painting and drawing, only because I love both; I like simplicity of lines and marks and I find the depth of colour to be very stimulating. My main inspiration comes from everyday life such as the diversity of landscape, weather, patterns and colours. A key part of my collection is abstract oil pastel paintings, with a focus being on bright colours, abstract shapes and light; brought together with a combination of creativeness and spontaneity which is always evident in my work.
