As a kid mom encouraged me to draw, even for my book reports, my writing wasn’t so hot but full color crayon drawings usually got me an “A”. But now I just like to paint! Especially oil, the thickness, impasto, flexibility of application and endless colors. My life has always been about art from a degree in fine art/painting to a successful design/advertising firm, always with an emphasis on art. Now as a painter living in Colorado, there is an endless supply of Rocky Mountain landscapes waiting to be painted. The color in my landscapes go beyond what we usually see in nature, enhanced to give some real pop! There are also things that catch my artistic eye and spur a painting – like vintage trucks, American Indians with their beautiful hand-made clothing, and of course animals. Colorado’s wildlife with moose, bears, elk and elusive foxes offer an endless source of painting opportunities. Cows and horses too! Another favorite of mine is vintage architecture, the more ornate, the better. A commissioned portrait of a fondly remembered car/truck is a rewarding project – so many smiles and thank you's happen when presented. All I need are some good photos to paint your keepsake vehicle. Hope you enjoy seeing my work on Saatchi Art. Maybe you’ll enjoy seeing a piece on your walls!
