My first contact with art was with music. I began to play the piano I was a small child and I just fell in love. It changed from music to fine arts, and back and forward and again until I could let both have space in my life. I say that art for me is like water, it will find a way to go out, as a river, waterfall or a geyser. I grew up with it, I don’t distinguish being alive and making art.

My work is emotional and experimental. I talk about music and silence, energy, colour and the search for Freedom. My art practice is very diversified in form - moving fluidly through painting, installation and music. It consists mostly of abstract paintings and pieces made with parts of ‘dead’ pianos. I use different kinds of media. Every work demands a different technique to have a personal voice, therefore is intentionally diverse in form but consistent in its subject.

Music inspires me the most. People. My own experiences. Past, future, oriental philosophy. Silence. Kandinsky and his theories. John Cage, Erik Satie, Lucien Freud.

I create art because it brings me an understanding of the existence in this life and what I feel is what I would like to create inside the observer, to set him free.

Samantha's art is driven by her synesthetic experiences, which allow her to see shapes in response to sounds. She channels this unique perspective into immersive glass installations, where sound and image merge into a single entity. Glass is the material that serves as the primary conduit for Samantha's artistic expression. Her father's work with glass during her childhood instilled a lifelong passion for the material, which is reflected in her art today. A Brazilian artist based in Berlin, Samantha's work explores the relationship between sound and visual art, pushing the boundaries between traditional disciplines and prompting viewers to consider the nature of sound objects, visual objects, and performance. Samantha creates immersive experiences that invite audiences to engage with the present moment through their senses. Her art provokes deep questions about the nature of existence and encourages self-reflection. By challenging viewers to reconsider their perceptions of reality, Samantha's work aims to create a more conscious and connected society.
