Flowers , flowers are so obvious ... but it seems that very few people understand that behind something so beautiful there is a message : even the most beautiful flowers , wither , die and disappear ... Painting with thick gesso making textures, and diluted blue painted layer by layer

A graduate in Fine Arts from Barcelona University, Pedro Martin has also studied at Escola Massana of Arts in Barcelona. Pedro started studing arts from the age of 39, after a period of working in several social projects; even now continues to collaborate with several NGO’s to help young people with less resources to live fuller lives. His work focuses on the concept of how we approach our lives, using the human figure or abstraction, attracting attention through the use of relief and colour. Each of his works conveys a sense of life. Combining art studies with his job as a social worker, Pedro has held several exhibitions and created art installations in public spaces. Over recent years this has included exhibitions such as “The Secret Flowers", "Altered Geography” and “Interior Landscapes". One installation included a big carpet (of flowers?) at the stairs below Sitges church in 2016. As well as others covering the subjects of humanity and LGTBi rights. His most recent art project, “Still Life Alive”, is a tribute to the history of still life painting. The multimedia project combines video and painting into a circular frame, opening windows - the work looks at still life painting ‘alive’ with movement through video art and showcases the personal art techniques Pedro uses.
