Hand-painted silk created at my Haiku art studio on the island of Maui, Hawai'i. The sea turtle is a mystical creature of the sea. Here on Maui they are considered sacred, and can be seen swimming along the shore line. At night they come up onto the beaches to lay their eggs.

I paint to celebrate this beautiful island life, rendering my dreams and feelings on silk. My path to art and island living began when I was a student of ancient architecture and old world healing on the Grecian Islands. While living in the Mediterranean I marveled at the ancients' ability to make beauty part of their everyday life. My art comes from the ancient art of zen silk painting. For years, I've been producing silk paintings on the island of Maui in Hawai'i and selling my hand-painted silks in various art galleries and outdoor markets.
