ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This abstract painting was inspired by the work of Marianist Monk, Brother Mel Meyer who painted large and exciting abstract paintings. I photographed Brother Mel's paintings for years and when I returned to my painting life, I reviewed his wonderful work. This piece is about returning to fine art and taking risks with color, shape and form.
