ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is a set of four Basho Matsuo's very famous Haiku Poems that were hand painted in Japanese Calligraphy with Sumi-E techniques. They are authentic hand painted original artworks, not a print. Hanging words in your home that mean a lot to you can help you re-center yourself in your daily life. Seeing those words can be a chance for you to stop, take a deep breath, think about what is truly important to you, and remember that you live in this moment. This set of four hanging scrolls are a wonderful gift for anyone who loves Japanese cultures, minimalists who love Zen teaching concepts, or someone wants to display symbols of mindfulness. *attention: Please find the actual scroll size bellow. The dimension on the title is approximate size when all four scrolls are hanged together, not the actual scroll size. -about the scrolls The four hanging scrolls are four Haiku Poems by Matsuo Basho 松尾 芭蕉 and that are representing 4 seasons. from the Wiki: (Matsuo Basho 松尾 芭蕉, 1644 – November 28, 1694;[2] born Matsuo Kinsaku [松尾 金作], then Matsuo Chūemon Munefusa [松尾 忠右衛門 宗房])[3] was the most famous poet of the Edo period in Japan. Thank you for visiting my page. I have always loved creating artwork.  Art is a my life and my passion. I love working with Sumi Ink paintings, oil, pastel, acrylic paintings and graphite drawings.  I love painting portraits, scenery, wild life, and flowers. I was trained in Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) since I was 4 or 5 years old under my father who was a master Shodo painter. Shodo and Sumi-E painting is my roots, my culture, and my father's legacy. They are beautiful Japanese traditional arts and I deeply appreciate my father who taught me this and my heritage.  Yoko Collin  Visual Artist, Japanese Calligrapher Follow me at my Face Book page and Instagram page.
