ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The project SHADOWS OF VOICES is an explicit contrast of pathos, optimism and triumph. If the term existential had not been such cliche, it could surely be called an existential project. It takes the viewer into a transitional span focusing on the intellectual crisis in post-Soviet countries. Armenia, as one example, is stuck in a 19th century “national reservation” with no rush to reconsider its value system. This project is a silent message to the audience urging to revisit the outdated perception of art as a propaganda tool or valuable commodity.
