About The Artwork
"Shanghai" comes from my Biannual Series (Axis of Evil). I chose to use multiple panels to emphasize scale change. Playing with how one panel is more “zoomed” in then the other. Scale change also reflects my interest in fractal self-similarity and how patterns seem to repeat whether one looks at the coastline of England or the surface of a pebble, the patterns are similar. This reflects throughout nature.
