Framed Dimensions in light oak: 12 x 2.25 x 10.5 inches

She Moon explores an imagined landscape shared between women and nature. Silhouettes of the female body hug the moon in the center through mark-making and shape. A sense of balance and stillness is conveyed through the composition.

Kale Baker’s Vermont Series speaks to the emotional responses of experiencing a new place. These works evoke light, landscape and wonder. Through the act of looking Baker’s paintings capture moments of Vermont’s aura, while at the same time project a sense of interior reflection through color and mark making.

Vermont in November boasted winter skies filled with pink cascades of warm and icy pastels. The rest of the landscape was cold and white except for the incredible array of brightly painted homes, complete with visible lapses of repair and changing tastes. Baker aimed to create these brilliant jewels of color to capture the personality of both the people and the landscape she experienced at the residency.

This painting includes hanging wire attached to the back of frame .

This painting is signed and dated on the back.
