BIOGRAPHY MERCEDES APARICIO is a well-known Cantabrian artist, she was born in Santander, Cantabria, Spain. Mercedes early childhood took place in a house on the countryside, she grew up in freedom and close to nature. At the age of 5 she started at school and was graduated of the Bachelor in the Institute of Astillero, Santander. 1966 her parents went to live to Switzerland so that she had to start early and intensively to learn German and French, then she went to the school in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. She started to study music in Schaffhausen. After, she studied in the high school Dolmetcherschule Zürich: German, Spanish and English. As she discovered art, she enrolled in the Art School, Kunstgewerbeschule in Bern. In 1985 she started to do expositions in Santander, Cantabria, Madrid, Asturias, Gijon, Bilbao, Logroño, Barcelona, all over Spain, in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Paris, etc. See expositions: 2010 – 2013, she studied in the Arthur Findlay College to integrate Art and Humanism. Mercedes Aparicio is a visionary artist. 1985 – 2023 she lives between Santander and Switzerland
