About The Artwork
Working in metallic silver or gold acrylic paint is like making wall jewelry. Creating layers and textures as an experiment in possibilities. There is usually an idea, but seldom does it come out exactly the IDEA. That is the fun and the surprise. Using recycled plastic acrylic panels supports the environment and is a joy to work with. I draw inspiration from nature including rocks, metals and crystals. Often the multi-layered effect reminds me of the way mother nature creates, in layers over time. Salt crystal and silver dust add interest and more texture. Together they are unpredictable like nature and add to the organic feeling.

The ability to hang the piece four different ways allows subtle and exciting changes.For hanging there will be included hardware and clear fishing line.My aim is to look like it might be found in natutre.
Mediums:Many layers of silver acrylic paint combined with salt crystals and silver dust create a very textured piece.The clear acrylic panel has a glass like feeling without the weight.The second side of the panel has a complimentary abstract also in silver.The distressed edging adds to the natural organic almost crystaline feeling.A stencil of recycled screen is used on the top layer to achieve the stripes.
