The Arraiolos Carpet is made with "Ponto de Arraiolos", an outstretched cross stitch perfected by the seamstresses of Arraiolos, a charming village in southern Portugal. Needle work, hand embroidered on jute canvas with wool. I tried in this piece to bring the beauty of the simplicity of a design, the tranquility the white color brings us, the romanticism of the mauve color combined with the freedom of the green! Simple is beauty! MADE in Portugal, 30.597 hand embroidered stitches
