After graduating in Fine Art with 1st Class (Hons) I continued my art practise and began taking on commissions as a portraitist, wildlife and equestrian artist. Back in 2008 jurors Eileen Cooper RA and Sir Norman Rosenthal accepted my self-portrait ‘Relaxing Dancer’ for the Royal Academy’s A Level Schools Online Exhibition. From 2008-09 I studied at Winstanley College where I achieved the Kate Bentham Award for my work. I currently live and work in North West England as a portrait artist, equestrian artist, member of Tate Collective Liverpool, curator and workshop leader. I work with oil paint, graphite, coloured pencil and digital media to produce colourful detailed artworks in styles inspired by several genres. I believe a portrait can say so much more about a being than a photograph can, and pride myself in my ability to capture the personality of subjects, generating an artifact which can be treasured for a lifetime as a legacy to its sitter.
