About The Artwork
This is part of a series of work based on Wanderlust Hotel - a fictional hotel. This is 2 sisters who are estranged and meet in a hotel, one is the maid, and one is an affluent hotel guest. The image shows their meeting as they face eachother in an almost mirror image. The technique is bleaching technique and dye on vintage quilt with Swarovski crystals. The painting is made from a vintage american quilt, which is dyed and then bleached. the fabric is washed and dried between layers of bleach, before a final last rinse to remove all traces of chemicals. The fabric is displayed with a hidden wooden dowel at the top and bottom, which is stretched inside the framed, float mounted suspended on nylon. Framed in a black box frame with standard glass.

She exhibits internationally, with solo shows in London, Paris and Sydney and has exhibited at Dallas Contemporary and Honolulu Museum of Art. Pam has produced numerous commissions for fashion brands from Ralph Lauren to Armani, MTV and Microsoft. Her work is housed at Saatchi & Saatchi London, Mitsubishi Bank, and in collections worldwide. Pam is co-curator at Paxton+Glew Gallery, showing contemporary art in Brighton's Lanes.
