Evadi Eva Van Diepen

Eva van Diepen, born on July 20 1957 in Amsterdam, had her art education at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Her current work focuses on young people growing up in a different culture, in a different light. Eva wants to show the experiences and rituals they go through: their seriousness, their insecurity, sometimes their fear, but also their pride. She depicts them using oil on large linen canvasses, and in bistre drawings on photographic or handmade paper. Next to this, she uses different techniques such as monoprints in oil, and drypoint prints.
