The Lotus has long been a significant symbol with a long history in many religions, especially Buddhism and Hinduism. Its meaning can be described based on the phases the flower comes through before we can admire its beauty. At first, it is just a small bud, sitting within the calm and murky underwater environment. It grows. It gets stronger. One beautiful morning, it thrusts its head out of water and turns into a beautiful blooming flower, basking in the sunlight. We admire this beauty and get enchanted with it. The painting reflects specific transition, occurring in the world with human beings, animals, and plants. We are all “small” buds, sitting somewhere in deep waters of this life. The flower’s cycle stands for the way a person has to pass to feel the joy of life, become a better person, and gain spiritual enlightenment. The shades of a pink color stand for ease and sweeter emotions a person experiences when achieving his full potential. The beauty and pureness of the blooming flower reflects the state of the enlightened person who learned his life lesson. A hand, stretching the bud, is a desire of a person who reached nirvana to share his knowledge with the rest of the world, thereby helping “other buds” to rise their heads above those dark waters of their lives. Life is a continuous struggle. We should not refuse from help when someone stretches his hand to us. Perhaps, that person is one of the keys that will help us to learn our personal progress.

Although now I live in Berlin the roots of my family originate from a beautiful city of Svitlovodsk, in Ukraine. My first acquaintance with art happened when I was 13 years old. It was quite an exciting experience for me. The art of painting made me feel happy and beckoned to continue this activity. Furthermore, it was the moment when I realized the primary goal of my life - to make people all around me experience the same feeling of joy through the play of colors. Later, I took up the art seriously and learned from a giften man, Viktor Chumachenko who is now a famous artist in Ukraine. The art became an unattainable part of my life, capturing my breath, ideas, and driving me far into my dreams. I spent hours and hours, working under new paintings instead of doing my school homework. It was just a beginning of a lifetime story of my love to art. Then I studied art in Florence, Italy. This place gave me an excellent opportunity to learn a new way of painting, and a chance to improve my skills, being supervised by a fantastic American teacher. It is said that the best experience comes with the number of works created. I painted a few and I am proud to say that people from different parts of the world bought my works: starting from the Caribbean islands and Hong Kong up to London and New York. I was living in many countries, including Italy, Hong-Kong, and the USA. I met many people of different nationalities, familiarized with their unique culture, and got the most precious acquaintances I have ever dreamt of. A possibility to travel, admire the masterpieces of world-famous artists, and Modern art shows inspire me to create my style and find myself as an Abstract Surrealistic artist. In the process of my work, I am very delicate with the colors. I can spend a few weeks to find the particular shade I want to see at one or another painting. Details: I have never prepared a sketch for my works. I am blending colors on canvas since the best thoughts and ideas come after I touch the canvas with my brush. After that, the workflow moves on.I do not paint from life and portraits, although you can find several similar works in my portfolio. If you wonder: Why? The answer is easy: it is just not my style of painting. I think people should take up things they can do best.
