Solace Painting

The title of this oil painting, Solace, comes from the fact that painting is my escape, my comfort in the unusual time we find ourselves in. My love of the Beautiful British land and seascapes again as so often draws me in albeit from abstraction. Wondrous photos of Anglesey and the Cornish coast collated over the years provide a starting point. Predominantly painted using oils this artwork has used resin on the canvas base to add texture and add extra layers of depth and light deflection. Sealed with a protective layer of gloss varnish to seal and protect the surface. Thank you for taking an interest in my work.
