About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by the fire in Fort McMurray Alberta. Some of the social media comments suggested that it was Karma and it made me wonder about how innocent children deal with such devastation. As the victims shared stories about the random things they gathered as they were fleeing their homes, I thought of my own children and how they randomly cherish different objects. Would they grab their handmade quilt from great grandma or the hat that they happened to find on the floor of their bedroom? This painting is oil on hardboard with a cradle style framework on the back. It is ready to hang as is.
