Soul Painting

I was born in southern Russia (Rostov-on-Don) in 1994. From young age I have been interested in the idea of self-expression through fine arts. However lacking painting background, at the age of 17 I entered the faculty of linguistics. After graduating from the university and working in a large international company for several years, I began to feel craving for art again and started painting. In December 2018 I decided to leave the office and pursue a career of a self-educated artist. In painting I am attracted to the depiction of life, especially a human, to the expression of emotions and feelings through the image of a body. At first I aimed at realistic depiction of nature. Later I became fascinated by alla prima technique. I like the way oil swiftly comes to life on canvas. Gradually my art has been taking a more expressive and emotional form. As a novice in art I am constantly questing for my own style and new forms of expression. Every day I get inspired by creative work of many contemporary artists, at the same time trying to go with my gut and reveal more identity in my paintings.
