Anne Smythe is a Canadian realist painter, born and trained in Toronto, currently living and working in Waterdown Ontario. Anne paints in oils, the subject matter is often drawn from the beauty of the natural world close to her home, or as a theme set up as a still life. Then quirky or interesting images are added to change or enhance the narrative of the painting. Anne has regularly shown her work in both solo and group shows and has been a member of the Art Tour Collective and is a member of the The Artemisia Collective in Hamilton, Hamilton Artists Inc and the Women’s Art Association of Hamilton. Anne is also an accomplished portrait artist.
