This is a view of the Blanco river in Wimberley valley Texas. This area is a vacation destination in central Texas. Me and my family have been renting homes in this area since I was a child. This particular painting was made while standing on a river bridge known as Spoke Hollow. Unfortunately, this same area was devastated by a horrific flood which washed this very bridge away just before Memorial day of this year. At least my memories of this glorious area will continue to live on through my work.

Wm. Steven Kroll is an artist, inventor, writer and business owner. In his series "Street Life", Kroll has captured the gritty reality of people surviving and striving on city streets — from a wheelchair-bound homeless man in Houston, to a jazz musician in San Francisco, to a hive of solitary commuters in Taipei. In his businesses he is actively engaged in both electronic and industrial design. Kroll was a finalist in the Arts for Parks national competition; winner of the Houston Art League’s annual competition; finalist in the national Duck Stamp competition;2013 four-time winner of ArtSlant New York; and finalist in a 2013 Saatchi Showdown competition among others.
