Suzanne produces original contemporary and decorative artwork. Her medium is mainly oil on stretched canvas. Her designs are colourful and fresh. Suzanne creates her designs from her imagination and by idly doodling on a pad. She enjoys using random elements in her creations to find a new effect. Suzanne then transfers these designs to canvas and uses bright colours to enhance the ideas. For Suzanne’s contemporary pieces she uses inspiration from every day occurrences. She captures a moment in time on her camera. Using her computer to create enlarged printouts she then transfers the image to canvas. Suzanne has been interested in drawing and painting from a young age and always aspired to become a full time Professional Artist or a Graphic Designer. However, things did not go to plan and Suzanne’s life took a different direction when she became an IT, Supply Chain and Logistics Professional instead. Suzanne’s heart was always with painting and designing so she performed her art whenever snippets of time could be found in her day to day life. Suzanne now dedicates herself to producing artwork for sale and exhibits in group shows as well as numerous solo shows. She started her art business in 2005 and called it ‘Prowess Art’. She is not a full time artist as she desires however this is her goal and she is working to achieve this. Artists that have influenced Suzanne are Kandinsky, Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, Gauguin and Cezanne. The use of colour and form by these artists has inspired Suzanne. Colour in particular has always interested her and she enjoys how it captures the attention of the viewer.
