Julián García-Viso is a multidisciplinary artist whose recent work has been recognized by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors (AEPE), the oldest and most prestigious artists' institution in Spain, with over 115 years of history. His work has been selected for the last two editions of the Abstract Art Salon, receiving an Honorable Mention in 2024. His artistic practice is a deep exploration of space, color, and movement. Through vibrant palettes and impossible forms, he creates compositions that evoke a poetic visual language filled with emotion and dynamism. Each piece seems to emerge from a dreamlike world, where abstraction not only expresses but also transforms and reinterprets the legacy of abstract expressionism. García-Viso’s experience as a painting instructor is evident in the structural precision of his works and in his ongoing pursuit of visual harmony—one that is not static, but unfolds through the creative process itself. Beyond abstraction, his solid technical background has earned him multiple awards in fields such as portraiture, urban landscape, and nature representation. This versatility demonstrates his ability to move seamlessly between figurative and abstract languages, establishing his voice as a key figure in contemporary Spanish art. Currently serving as a Faculty Member specializing in painting and drawing at the Madrid School of Fine Arts.
