ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The painting is abstract and evolved on the canvas, but I felt that the overall impression was not dissimilar to a stained glass window, hence the title. The central image could easily be seen as an insect or lizard however, so the title is no more than a convenience. Like most of my paintings, there are patches of impasto, scrapings and swirlings, examples of which are offered in the close-ups.

I was born in 1948 in Balham, S.London.I was a lecturer in FE from 1978 - 2008; now I'm a full-time artist.
I do acrylics, watercolour and oil pastel on heavy duty watercolour paper and canvas and use rollers,scrapers and scissors to get textures.
