Externally - chic arches, stucco sculptures on the facades, columns and balustrades. Inside - spacious apartments, good layouts. The houses of the 1930s and 1950s are called differently by architects: "Stalinist Empire", "Soviet retrospectivism", "architectural historicism". Having replaced the stingy "constructivism", which had become firmly established in the late 1920s, the architecture of the Great Leader fully embodied his ideology: Soviet workers live in beautiful houses in comfortable conditions for life and creativity. It is not for nothing that honored workers of art, culture, and, of course, party members settled in the "Stalin". But they built it for ordinary mortals: without pomp, kitchens, bathrooms, but also with large rooms and high ceilings. The architecture of such externally dissimilar buildings is common in the absence of a garbage chute and elevators in houses of up to six floors (the number of stories of “stalinkas” in Ukraine did not exceed 12 floors).
