About The Artwork
Still life with a glass jar and onion. It's a gloomy still life composition of an old Maltese glass jar and a lovely shiny onion. Oil on linen. Varnished. Apparently, this glass jar was used either for medicine or wine or both. Could be that wine and medicine were interchangeable in the olden days, who knows. In any case, I was inspired by the reflections and deep green colour of the jar. The golden onion fits nicely and brings a touch of life with its roundish sides. A hanging wire is attached to the back. Please note that colours may be different due to differences in devices.
