About The Artwork

Apples and pomegranates are both red but they have so different redness. I wanted to catch and reflect this difference in the realistic still life.

My artworks are devoted to the dialogue between the world and a human. Between external world and internal human reality. I am happy when my paintings push slightly a human to doubt some things he never doubted before or feel something he never experienced before. I loved the world since childhood. To see its beauty, its depth - unusual play of rhythms, colors, shapes. For a long time I was sure that everyone feels the world like me. After all, how could it be otherwise. Later I learnt - most people do not notice many things I see. And they live the world in some shortcut version. Until I was 20, I was more of a spectator. I excitedly walked around the Orsay and the Rijksmuseum. I dived into the worlds of Van Gogh, Dali and Bosch. Discovered Frida, Magritte and Vermeer. I felt so excited about their masterpieces. And I felt that I had something to say too. But I could not. I am a voiceless singer, an armless violinist, and no one will hear the music that splashes inside me! It was painful. Then I started learning. I didn't care about formal education. I needed to get those instruments with which I could pour out my inner music. I studied for many years in the workshops of the strongest artists. Now I feel the colors under my hands are coming to life singing. Color is my main instrument. Open colors, complex shades, and my feelings and idea start living on the canvas. Ironic. I learned to paint in order to express what cannot be expressed in words. And yet again have to find the words. Even the richest language is limited when it comes to Man. Most ideas and feelings live in the Unconscious. The unconscious is intuitive, irrational. Words, if they are not said accurately, confuse us in our direct investigation of ourselves and the world. It is better to see once than to hear a hundred times. And this is definitely about my paintings. Paintings that have a story to tell! I hope you enjoy watching them not less than I did while creating them.
