Any self-respecting,honest and professional artist ought not to go stale,to repeat himself or betray his moral and professional principles. Therefore I maintain that an artist, especially a young artist should travel,drink in culture of other nations, explore styles, mentality, general atmosphere of different places. I’d like to work for some time in an atmosphere completely different from that of Ukraine,both stylistically and spiritually, to be able to create a project understandable and nessessary to all people regardless where they live, what languages they speak and what artistic taste they have. I’d hate to stick to one style, become a craftsman,even a good one.To my mind, repetition Is the end of an artist. Therefore, I use different styles, techniques, colours to convey my emotions,associations, ideas appropriately. Being young,the “new generation”,I, nevertheless, hold,that good solid realistic approach can never become stale, old-fashioned,or not interesting. A professional artist must be able to use any means to match image and style. My goal is to chisel my tecnique to such level as to paint equally well realistic impressionistic, pictures, and develop my own style.
