Storm bringers Painting

Anna Yershova (b. 1983, Belarus) is a Russian artist currently living in Rostov-on-Don, in the South of Russia. Since 2020 changed our lives I work full time in my home studio. I spent my childhood in a small town in Belarus among the deep spruce forests. The mysterious forest depths and the silent swamps in this area have had a great influence on my work. I find my inspiration in the point where ordinary life intersects with the extramundane dimension of reality. Most of all I am fascinated by mysticism, which invades everyday life, filling days with magic and miracles. I believe that life is not limited to ordinary reality. And my task as an artist is to reveal to the viewer another world, which, like an iceberg, is usually hidden from once view. There are only works in oil painting technique, made on canvases. Oil paint is the material that maximizes creativity. It is flexible and malleable, it allows you to bring changes and new details into the work without any boundaries. This is very important for me, since spontaneity and the ability to deviate from the original plan are one of the key moments in my work. Working on a painting is like making a discovery. You never know where you will end up. My paintings can be found in private collections in Russia, Canada and Great Britain.
