About The Artwork

Farmers used to burn the stubble after the harvests and the fires would spread across the fields, and smoke would cloud the roadways. It was a primitive goodbye to the summer. Now forbidden. This was painted in 1982.

I decided to become an artist at the age of four and went to Liverpool School of Art (in the same class as John Lennon.) My first paintings were sold via Hampstead Artists' Council yearly show. Since then I have exhibited in solo and group shows in London, Norwich, Dublin, Galway and now in Suffolk. I also write poetry, short stories and novels, and have won several prizes. My latest book, Maryland Street is in Amazon in print and Kindle format.
